The Cree Indians believed that lights in their Northern sky, which we now call 'Aurora', were the spirits of their ancestors. That these vibrant colors were proof that life lingered.
Understanding our soundings has evolved both religion and science, in turn, humankind’s identity and our changing relationship with the natural world.
Referencing modernist formalism and minimalism, while adding my personal refinement that celebrates the optical and emotional aspects of luminosity. My purpose is to intoxicate the viewer with a limitless destination of light, color, and space.
By using highly sensitive epoxy polymer and altering materials as a medium to channel light, I am pushing the limits of perception where my painting gives a sense of dynamic movement.
