I love taking daily walks in nature, where I’m constantly in awe of the changing light and colours in the sky and landscape. The feelings and energy I experience in those moments are what I bring back into the studio, intuitively translating them into my Solar Verticals—a series of contemporary abstract paintings inspired by light, colour, and nature.
I create each original abstract painting by layering transparent colour onto a reflective surface, allowing colour, gravity, and light to play an active role in the process. Each work develops through a balance of intention and surrender, as layer after layer reveals something unexpected.
What you can’t fully see in a photograph is how the artwork changes in person. As you move around each piece, reflections shift, colours appear to glow, and transparent layers reveal new depth. Changing daylight continually transforms the work, creating an artwork that feels different throughout the day.
Solar Verticals are original contemporary artwork created to capture the wonder, energy, and connection I feel in nature. Through colour, reflection, and light, each abstract painting invites you to slow down, look closer, and experience that feeling for yourself.
