From Solar Seduction Series
Solar Seduction is a luminous series of contemporary abstract art, inspired by my immersion in nature and the feelings, energy and beauty I experience while spending time outdoors.
I’m drawn to the shifting light, colour, reflections and atmosphere I encounter in nature. Sometimes I’m inspired by something I see; other times, it is simply the feeling of being immersed in the natural world. I bring these experiences back into the studio and intuitively translate them through colour, light and reflection.
Created on mirrored or aluminium surfaces using transparent layers of rich pigment and fluid epoxy, each original abstract painting responds to the light and space around it. As daylight changes, colours shift, reflections appear and new layers of depth are revealed.
What makes Gentle Drift special is the experience of seeing it in person. As you move around the work, the surface changes with you, revealing subtle shifts in colour, light and reflection that photographs cannot fully capture.
